The position is part of our enterprise materials organization which focuses on materials planning support across operations, customer support, and completions (interior of aircraft build). The Materials Manager will supervise directly several Materials Supervisors and indirectly Associate Material Analysts to Senior Materials Analysts. Preferred Skills Extensive Excel, Access Skills Strong Leadership and Team Development skills Both SAP and Corridor experience (preferred) Strong analytical, project management, and presentation skills Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making ability Leadership & Team Development skills Strategic Inventory & Supply Chain Management knowledge Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience in materials management, materials planning, warehousing, inventory control, Spare Parts sales administration or related operational roles to include 1 year experience managing professional level employees or program/process management; aviation or manufacturing sector experience strongly preferred.. Valid Driver's License required. Position Purpose :The Materials Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence across one or several business lines, including Aircraft Production, Aircraft Completion, Aircraft Maintenance, Components Repair and Overhaul, and Spare Parts Sales & Distribution. This role is pivotal in supporting key operational activities such as warehousing and distribution, production control, requirements planning, materials expediting, spare parts sales, and tool room operations. The Materials Manager will also play a critical role in large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that support business transformation. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing an environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, & guiding team to high-quality performance. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to business line leaders, ensuring materials operations are aligned with organizational objectives and customer expectations . Operational Leadership: Oversee and optimize the flow of materials, inventory, and tools to support production, maintenance, and aftermarket activities . Champion best practices in warehousing, distribution, and production control . Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Ensure accurate and meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment . Project & Change Management: Drive and participate in large-scale, cross-functional initiatives supporting business transformation. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, delivering results in dynamic environments . Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements . Stakeholder Communication: Communicate clearly and proactively with teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership. Provide timely updates on operational performance, project status, and strategic initiatives . Problem Solving & Analytics: Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, resolve challenges, and support data‑driven decision making . Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA, import/export, hazmat, etc.) . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and drive business transformation. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP/MRP) systems, SAP, Corridor and Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
