Commissioning Manager

We are seeking a Senior Commissioning & Start-Up Manager to lead commissioning and system start-up activities for a large-scale semiconductor facility. This role will oversee the transition from construction through commissioning, cleanroom readiness, tool installation, and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute commissioning strategies, system turnover plans, and start-up sequences. Integrate commissioning activities with construction schedules, project controls, and phased turnover milestones. Lead commissioning, start-up, performance verification, and system stabilization activities. Oversee testing, troubleshooting, deficiency resolution, documentation, and turnover to operations. Coordinate commissioning across HVAC, process utilities, electrical, controls, and other critical fab systems. Establish cleanroom readiness strategies to support progressive tool installation. Manage system interdependencies, readiness gates, risks, and mitigation plans. Partner with engineering, construction, operations, project controls, vendors, and client stakeholders. Lead and mentor commissioning teams while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and operational readiness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 15+ years of engineering experience or 20+ years of high-tech construction, cleanroom, or mission-critical commissioning experience. Proven leadership experience commissioning large-scale semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing facilities. Strong technical knowledge of cleanroom environments, HVAC, process utilities, electrical, and controls systems. Experience with integrated scheduling, system completion, commissioning, and start-up planning. Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and semiconductor commissioning practices.
