Sales Engineer

Position: Sales Engineer / Onsite in San Jose, CA About the Company Our client is a well-established global distributor of semiconductor and electronic component solutions that is rapidly expanding its U.S. operations in Silicon Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, entrepreneurial U.S. team and help build the company's North American presence from the ground up. About the Role Our client is seeking a customer-focused Sales Engineer to manage customer relationships, support sales activities, and coordinate business between customers, suppliers, and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship management and technical product discussions. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for customers while supporting the entire sales cycle from quotation through delivery. Responsibilities Manage and develop relationships with assigned customers. Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day account activities. Coordinate customer orders, forecasts, deliveries, and account-related matters. Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and sales documentation. Work with internal operations and supplier teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Support customer meetings, product discussions, and business reviews. Identify customer needs and uncover new business opportunities. Maintain accurate records of customer activity, forecasts, and sales opportunities. Support technical discussions involving semiconductor and electronic component products. Travel periodically to customer locations throughout North America. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. 3-7+ years of experience in account management, technical sales, inside sales, sales engineering, customer success, or semiconductor distribution. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously. Experience within electronics, semiconductors, distribution, manufacturing, or technology industries preferred. Knowledge of semiconductor components, memory products, or electronic systems is highly desirable. Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
