Business Engagement Manager

Summary Business Development role focused on new logo attainment for Ryder’s FMS contractual sales products (Choicelease / SelectCare). The incumbent will deploy a Go‑To‑Market strategy leveraging Ryder’s CRM (SalesForce) to engage markets through digital/tele‑marketing, strategic in‑person meetings, and proposals. The position is non‑remote and requires presence at a Ryder location. Essential Functions Prospect and engage prospects via tele, digital, direct mail, and in‑person activities. Develop pre‑sales strategy for target accounts and maintain a pipeline that meets or exceeds quota revenues. Respond proactively to leads and represent Ryder’s full suite of services. Collaborate with client‑engagement managers, corporate decision makers, and sales teams to transition accounts and grow opportunities. Ensure completion of new‑customer orientation. Use CRM and Seismic to maintain structured, organized go‑to‑market plans, including prospect tier management, prospecting reports, collaboration leads, mailings, follow‑up tasks, and opportunity/proposal management. Perform administrative tasks such as ratesheet, vehicle specification, and package processing, and engage in continuous learning of sales skills, industry knowledge, and personal growth. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels. High initiative and self‑direction, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptability and flexibility in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Excellent time management, multi‑tasking, and organizational skills. Advanced ability to interpret financial data. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing Administration, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of consecutive sales experience with demonstrated quota achievement. Knowledge of Ryder’s product offerings and ability to represent full spectrum of services. H.S. diploma or GED is preferred. Compensation Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000. Position is salaried with performance‑based, uncapped commission potential. Additional compensation may include annual bonus and long‑term incentives depending on level and type.
