Business Development Representative (Healthcare/AI) Healthcare Business Development Representative Job Type: Full-time: Hybrid - 3 days per week in a shared office Job Reports To: Demand Generation Manager Compensation Options: Contract-to-Hire: $45.00–$55.00 per hour Direct Hire: $70,000–$90,000 base salary plus commission Please note: The direct hire salary range is lower than the contract-to-hire hourly rate because direct hire employees are eligible for the company's benefits package, whereas contractors are not eligible for benefits during the contract period. Role Description As our BDR - Pipeline Generation Specialist (Healthcare), you’ll play a key role in taking hot marketing leads and converting them into qualified sales meetings that drive new business. You’ll work closely with our Account Executives and Manager of Demand Generation to identify the right targets, craft compelling messaging, and execute campaigns that deliver results. This is a 90% sales, 10% strategy role that’s a vital part of the bridge between marketing and sales. Key Responsibilities: Identify and prioritize the most compelling leads and convert them into qualified meetings using multi-touch, multi-channel sequences You will manage and convert high-volume, event-driven, and inbound lead pipelines: prioritizing, segmenting, and executing targeted outreach to turn interest into qualified sales conversations. Pick up the phone—there’s nothing as impactful as a knowledgeable conversation, and you’ll be comfortable with cold calling, navigating blockers, and getting to your target Create customized cadences and follow up on leads with original, ABM-style outbound messaging Research new accounts, build target lists, create persona playbooks, and constantly test and refine your methodology to drive more qualified meetings Immersed yourself in the healthcare landscape, understand what motivates our ICPs, and always be looking for new opportunities to make an impact Navigate Hubspot like a native (training can be provided, but you’ll be expected to be proficient within 1 month and expert within 3), and ensure all sales activities are properly documented Build a feedback loop with the marketing team to develop and test messaging, measure campaign performance, and report outcomes to company leadership Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (business/marketing/finance or similar) or 1+ years in B2B sales, business development, account management, or similar Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; executive presence with customers and internal teams Analytical mindset, comfortable interpreting data and making clear, defensible recommendations Familiarity with common sales and martech tools, including AI, and enthusiasm about using technology to accelerate the pace without reducing quality Preferred Requirements: Entrepreneurial DNA: A 'builder' mentality with the ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity environments where processes may not be fully fleshed out. Prior healthcare experience is strongly preferred but not essential for the right candidate Work style & logistics Hybrid - Chicago in-person at least 3 days per week Occasional travel for the team to on-sites or industry events as needed Competitive compensation commensurate with experience: contract to hire rate $45-$55 per hour Potential to earn equity based on performance Remote-friendly work environment Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents at a nominal cost Paid maternity leave FSA and Dependent Care account options 401(k) Eligibility after 6 months of full-time employment Phamily is an equal opportunity employer.
