Senior Staff Electrical Engineer

Senior Staff Electrical Engineer role at Stryker focused on advancing complex electromechanical medical device development. This position combines technical expertise in electrical system architecture with cross-functional leadership, requiring 6+ years of progressive engineering experience and the ability to influence decisions across R&D.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex electrical design and development through design, verification, and launch phases
- Define and influence electrical system architecture for complex electromechanical medical devices
- Provide technical leadership in PCBA, motor control, power, sensing, and system integration
- Lead root-cause investigations, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decisions
- Mentor and develop engineers while building future technical leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 6+ years progressive engineering experience with increasing technical responsibility
- Strong experience in electrical system and PCBA design
- Advanced understanding of complex electrical components, circuits, and subsystems
- Experience leading electrical design, testing, and technical problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams
- Strong root-cause investigation and systems-level problem-solving skills
Compensation: $102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
