ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Join a dedicated team in a challenging and rewarding ICU setting. This position requires a skilled and flexible Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to critically ill adult patients. The role also involves managing patients with varying medical needs when the ICU is not at full capacity.

Position Information

• Shift: 7A - 7P
• Weeks Guaranteed: 36 or 48 hours
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
• Float Requirements: Yes, may float to Stepdown, Telemetry, or MedSurg units if needed

Unit Profile

• Department: ICU
• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 in ICU
• Equipment Used: Mindray, Omnicell
• EHR: Meditech
• Patient Population: Adult patients

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in ICU or relevant experience
• Preferred Skills: Experience with cardiac drips, general ICU knowledge

Mandatory Requirements

• Iowa State Background Check
• Child and Adult Mandatory Reporter Certification
• 10-panel drug test (including opiates)
• Must provide titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
