IPA Manager (Field Remote - Tulare / Kern / Kings, CA)

IPA Manager The IPA Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and strengthening relationships with medical groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), hospitals, and provider partners throughout Alignment Health’s Central Valley markets, including Tulare, Kings, Kern, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Track performance to ensure alignment with the overall objectives of the health plan. Receive ongoing reporting from clinical or RAF teams and identify gaps. Work with IPAs to develop, implement and monitor remediation plans where performance requires improvement. Serve as the IPAs’ main point of contact for day-to-day activities and timely issue resolution. Attend external meetings with IPA leaders as required. Document and follow up on action items that arise from meetings. Participate in and contribute to Joint Operating Committees (JOC), Joint Work Groups (JWG), and other collaborative meetings with IPAs and key internal stakeholders. Demonstrate proficiency in marketing and provider CMS guidelines, with an end-to-end understanding of these aspects. Collaborate with Market General Managers, Finance teams, and Sales departments to prioritize and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives set by the President. Build strong relationships with assigned IPAs to drive collaboration and engagement. Lead meetings, present operational and performance data, and create presentation materials. Provide documentation of action items and follow up on provider partner initiatives. Travel throughout the Central Valley region 2–3 days per week during initial market expansion, with periodic visits as the market becomes more established. Qualifications Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of healthcare management. Capability to influence growth and performance in a dynamic environment. Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams. Excellent operational skills, including effective communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel). Deep knowledge of CMS guidelines and regulations. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Proven experience in a management role. Strong leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel within Central Valley counties; preferred location in Tulare, Kings, Kern, or Fresno County areas. Pay Range $98,550.00 – $147,825.00 (may vary based on market location, education, responsibilities, and experience).
