Job Summary The Group Sales Director manages the event sales lifecycle for catering at the location, aiming to meet and exceed revenue goals. The ideal candidate is experienced, driven, and collaborative. Key Responsibilities: Lead the catering sales department, maximizing revenue through reactive sales efforts. Ensure smooth communication with location teams for positive client experiences. Identify growth opportunities via sales trends and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with venue leadership on revenue expansion. Develop and review sales strategies, analyze market competition, and improve lost business recovery. Analyze sales data to enhance event experiences. Engage in networking and lead generation activities. Increase revenues, control expenses, and ensure ROI. Respond promptly to client inquiries and proposals. Negotiate contracts and develop menus and staffing with culinary and operations teams. Conduct client tours and prepare BEOs and agreements. Long Description Create floorplans and coordinate with authorities. Manage client relationships and billing. Gather feedback for continuous improvement. Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a positive environment. Coordinate with management to fulfill contracts. Manage event communication, conduct weekly meetings, and oversee event setups. Maintain CRM and system data, and ensure event accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned.
