Flavorshack – Back of House (BOH) Team Member Position Summary

The Back of House (BOH) Team Member is responsible for preparing food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and supporting the front of house to ensure every guest receives fresh, high-quality food quickly and safely. Team members are expected to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and maintain Flavorshack’s standards for food safety and cleanliness.

Essential Responsibilities Food Preparation

• Prepare ingredients according to Flavorshack recipes and standards.
• Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently.
• Portion and label food correctly.
• Restock prep stations throughout the shift.

Kitchen Operations

• Assemble and plate menu items according to presentation standards.
• Maintain speed and accuracy during busy meal periods.
• Assist with cooking and preparing food as assigned.
• Ensure all orders are complete before leaving the kitchen.

Cleanliness & Sanitation

• Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Run dishes through the dishwasher and properly store clean items.
• Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, and complete assigned cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

Team Support

• Run food to guests when needed.
• Assist teammates during busy periods.
• Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is running low.
• Complete opening, shift, and closing duties.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate respectfully with all team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions.
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
