Equipment Maintenance Technician - Swing Shift (M-F 2pm-10:30pm) Full‑time Job Type: Non‑Exempt Salary Range: $64,000 - $77,000 Business Function: Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance per schedule and MMM procedures for assigned tool set. Document preventive maintenance on PM checklists and maintain completed checklist/history in tool logbook. Troubleshoot and repair unscheduled failures, root‑cause them, and select correct down code for Equipment Engineer to improve MTBF. Record preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures on Resource Viewer and Forum Notes tracking system. Provide input to Shift Manager, Lead, and/or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle‑time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce wafer scrap, and lower cost of ownership. Offer technical training and certification for maintenance personnel. Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer in defining and writing preventive maintenance procedures. Qualifications Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, or Semiconductor Industry experience. Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Vacuum, Photo, or Wet/Plating Technologies. Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings. Understanding of failure mechanisms and ability to isolate, determine root cause, and repair. Proficiency with MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Forum Notes. Effective team player with proven communication skills, including cross‑functional interaction with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Peers, Management, Customers, and Suppliers. Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control). Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Skills & Tools Senior Level Equipment Maintenance Technician. Deposition, Beam Etch & Ion Mill – Veeco IBE, DLC 350, Veeco RF350 & RF 240 Ion Mill, etc. Wet – Plating (NiFe, MLO, Raider-MLO, Bake Oven, Asher‑Etch, NMT & SRD systems, etc.), Resist Strip/Liftoff, Chemical Etch & CMP. Photo – ASML, Canon, Nikon, FEI, & KLA Tencor systems, etc. Vacuum PVD – Balzers, Commonwealth, Comptech, CVC, ALD/HSALD, MeiVac, Unaxis, Veeco, and Anelva systems, etc. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $64,000 – $77,000 (subject to factors such as education, experience, performance, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs). Non‑exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay and shift differential pay. Eligibility for bonuses under the STI Plan or SIP and possibly for the Long‑Term Incentive Program (LTI).
