Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team Come be a part of our growing Global Corporate Subsidiaries Operations Team! Our team, the Corporate Subsidiaries Operations team, oversees board and entity management of Stripe’s global subsidiary portfolio. The team consists of motivated and dedicated individuals who have a curiosity to learn, are passionate about the subject matter and strive to enhance how we can get the work done more efficiently and effectively. Stripe is a high volume, fast paced company and we are looking for people who can help Stripe scale for growth. We are committed to building an inclusive work environment where all Stripes feel welcomed as their authentic selves—inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, races, education, ages, and other personal characteristics. We work on broadening our internal diversity because we want to be culturally equipped to build products and solutions for our diverse user base. What you’ll do In this role, you will help build processes and systems to support and manage entities within Stripe’s growing global subsidiary portfolio, primarily with our US, Canadian and LATAM entities. This will require previous experience working with large international private or public company boards; excellent project management and communication (verbal and written) skills; having strong document management, attention to detail and retention focus; and the ability to collaborate with multiple cross functional teams. Also, it would be helpful, but not mandatory, if you have managed regulated entities or entities holding Money Transmitter Licenses or Payment Aggregator Licenses. Responsibilities Help Stripe grow, streamline, and manage its global subsidiary portfolio, through incorporations, dissolutions, as well as working with cross functional teams on organizational restructuring and post-integration of newly acquired entities Support various entity management matters, including helping to schedule board and shareholder meetings; manage the collection and production of materials for meetings, including drafting of agendas; and coordinating outreach/liaising with internal and external directors, shareholders and involved stakeholders Be responsible for preparing board, shareholder and committee meeting minutes, written resolutions, and Secretary’s certificates Support the Compliance organization and work with outside counsel and cross functional teams, to meet and fulfill compliance and regulatory requirements applicable to Stripe’s regulated subsidiaries Respond to requests, inclusive of incoming KYC and UBO requests for information and documents from our internal and external auditors, regulators, financial partners, larger users and other stakeholders Identify areas to improve our existing processes with technology, and generally improve leverage across the team Assist with special projects as directed by leadership of the Corporate Subsidiary Operations team, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements A Paralegal certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Minimum 5-7+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience with a law firm and/or in-house at a public or private company Domestic or global corporate governance experience, knowledge and a basic understanding of formation, integration, restructuring and dissolution of entities is required Strong interpersonal, verbal and written organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines Action and results-oriented, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth and dynamic environment Outstanding organizational and communication skills High level accuracy and attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals/stakeholders at all organizational levels Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team Preferred qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced fintech company Licensed Notary Public (in any US state), or willingness to obtain a Notary Public License Proficiency working with Blueprint data management portal or similar, board portals like Diligent and BoardVantage, and CounselLink Location and work This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on‑sites, meet‑ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live. Compensation and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $133,200 - $199,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
