Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified healthcare professional to join our team, primarily assigned to the 6th floor unit in Irvine, CA, with responsibilities extending to both Orange and Irvine campuses. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as the traveler will float between facilities as needed.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Day
• Hours: 3x12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous Charge Experience: 2 years required
• Patient Ratio Experience: Relevant experience preferred
• Charting System Experience: Familiarity with EPIC is a must
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Blue Card required
  • NIHSS certification preferred
• Skills:
  • Phlebotomy
  • Telemetry
• Experience Required:
  • Community Hospital experience
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or II experience is a plus
  • Travel experience is mandatory

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: Inpatient and outpatient care for stepdown, telemetry, and medical/surgical patient areas.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: High acuity and high volume; experience in PCU is highly preferred.
• Special Equipment: Familiarity with chest tubes and drains is required.

Compliance Requirements

• No Nursys or background hits accepted
• Must hold a valid CA State License at the time of application
• All required certifications must be provided at application
• References: Two supervisor references required
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Must be away for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• Interviews may or may not be conducted by the manager

Training and Orientation

Orientation and training modules will be provided, including:

• UC Learning Center (UCLC): RN - 16.8 hours; CNA - 12.1 hours
• Estimated Module Time Frames: ICU - 11.5 hours; Tele - 11.5 hours; ED - 11 hours; Epic Test-Out - 1 hour
• All modules are completed during orientation or at home post-start and are self-reported
