Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, utilizing diagnostic techniques to establish baseline functional levels.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address patients' orthopedic conditions while adhering to established protocols.
• Direct and oversee the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with clinical practice guidelines, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities (e.g., traction, massage) to promote healing and functional recovery.
• Evaluate patients' response to treatment, documenting progress and modifying care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and proper use of physical therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and continuity of care, actively participating in case conferences.
• Complete and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment records, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with advancements in physical therapy practices and engage in professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young adults to seniors, each requiring specialized care tailored to their unique needs. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

Experience with advanced physical assessment techniques, and proficiency in using specialized therapeutic modalities is a plus. Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
