Work Environment

The work setting is primarily onsite at our outpatient office, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients, assessing their mobility, strength, and functional abilities using standardized assessment tools.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, focusing on improving mobility, balance, strength, and overall functional independence.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices, to enhance physical performance and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, pain management strategies, and preventative care techniques to promote long-term health and recovery.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans in response to ongoing evaluations.
• Lead group therapy sessions and community wellness programs to support a proactive approach to health and rehabilitation.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care, attending team meetings to discuss cases and treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or facing mobility challenges due to age-related conditions or injuries. The patient population is diverse, including seniors in assisted living settings as well as younger patients who require outpatient rehabilitation. This variety ensures that your work remains dynamic and fulfilling as you implement tailored strategies to meet distinct needs.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree will be given preference.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in an outpatient setting or geriatric physical therapy is preferred.
• Familiarity with age-related conditions and knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques for older adults.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 per year, adjusted based on experience and qualifications. In addition, our benefits package includes:
