Bring your passion for student success to the Lorain, OH area as a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This rewarding position offers the chance to foster meaningful growth in students’ lives, supporting their functional skills and helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

You’ll work school hours, Monday through Friday, as part of a collaborative educational team. Your expertise will help students overcome diverse developmental, physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges, enhancing their engagement and performance throughout the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for occupational therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services in line with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate routinely with teachers, special educators, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Recommend appropriate classroom accommodations, environmental modifications, and adaptive equipment
• Maintain meticulous documentation, progress reports, and support Medicaid billing where applicable
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
• Monitor student progress, making timely adjustments to intervention strategies
• Educate staff and families on strategies to further support student success

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
• Active Ohio OT license and NBCOT certification
• Experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred, but not required
• Exceptional communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
