Business Development Representative - East Florida

La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is seeking a talented and dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! Position Summary This position represents La Amistad in markets including hospitals, crisis units, physicians, mental health professionals and other assigned groups or agencies. The position assists in the organization and implementation of the marketing plan. Works with the Director of Business Development in the development and coordination of projects. Performs marketing functions as assigned by the Director. Essential Job Duties Identify the most viable potential referral sources/payers within the target markets and determine how to access those sources. Act as a facilitator between referral sources and La Amistad regarding admission communication follow-up. Consistently gain customer commitment throughout the selling process. Provide individualized follow-up services when appropriate. Maintain thorough understanding of competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and current market positions and report updates or changes to the Director of Marketing/Development. Develop a contact list of step-down/alternative placement programs and community resources in assigned markets to assist Admissions and Social Services departments with case management. Develop an individual sales plan, using a product line approach, identifying, developing, and maintaining specific referral accounts each month (average 160 contacts). Travel is required: expected 95%+ travel primarily within the East Coast of Florida and surrounding area; some overnight travel may be required. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related business field or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum two (2) years in Marketing/Sales, preferably in the Psychiatric and/or Substance Abuse field. Military background a plus. License/Certification: N/A. Physical Requirements: Irregular and long hours may be required occasionally. Current Driver’s License and car insurance. Lifting and loading 20‑pound boxes and 50‑pound display boards.
