Providing a safe environment, quality workmanship, and exceptional value to our customers is the foremost focus of our operations.Lead a Team That Builds the Future Through Design.We are seeking a Design Supervisor for our Little Canada, MN office!Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Efficiently and effectively manage and coordinate assigned work volumesEnsures projects meet customer and client expectationsPerforms job evaluations with assistance from Team LeadsInspect work in progress to ensure that designs conform to standards and that the work adheres to design/construction schedulesProvide mentoring and training to new hires and existing designers, using the established Skill Based programs and other training resources.Suggest personnel actions such as terminations, promotions, etc. to the Area Manager for resolutionAccurately record employee time, equipment usage, production quantities, job notes and submit the information in the required timeframeDetermine the sequence and manner in which work will be carried out, consistent with established customer requirements and internal processes and proceduresMaintain neat and orderly work areas that are secure from unlawful intrusions and protect the publicCommunicate and cooperate with Customer representatives, Area Managers, General Manager, Operations, Human Resources and Safety Manager on job details and requirementsCommunicate any problems/concerns to the Area ManagerActively communicates with Designers, Advocates, Admins and Area Manager as requiredActively communicates and handles customer complaints to resolution Basic Qualifications:Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong leadership skillsAbility to share expertise with others and continually build their knowledge and skillsRespond promptly to customer needs and resolve all issues satisfactorilyAbility to focus on solving conflict, not blamingAlways maintain confidentialityAbility to build a positive team spiritInspires respect and trust among the crews, Foreman and Area ManagersAbility to delegate work assignments and match the responsibility with the peopleAbility to set expectations and monitor delegated activities to their successful conclusionDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in everything you doUnderstand the business implications of decisions and display an orientation to profitabilityWork within the approved budget and conserve resourcesDemonstrate knowledge of the EEO policy and promote a harassment-free work environmentTreat people with respect and uphold organizational valuesFollow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on timePrioritize and plan work activities and use time efficientlyAlways Maintain a professional image; assure that the foreman and crews also maintain the same professional imageAbility to consistently meet or exceed productivity standardsAbility to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected eventsBasic knowledge of computers and Windows based software, or the ability and willingness to learnQ3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.Education:High School Diploma or EquivalentPost secondary training in construction or engineeringQ3 Contracting provides competitive market pay, with a comprehensive benefit package that includes: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) with Generous Company Match Company-paid Disability Insurance Company-paid Life Insurance Paid Holidays Paid Vacation & Sick TimeCompensation: $80k-$100k/yr.
