Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery - Genome Editing Delivery Expert

Position: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Genome Editing Delivery Expert UCSF Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research (Broad Center) and Department of Surgery invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Applicants must have a PhD, MD, and/or an equivalent degree. Candidates must demonstrate a productive research background with evidence of creativity. This faculty position is created to accelerate clinical implementation of genome editing strategies in conjunction with a Center for Genome Surgery. A focus on development and optimization of delivery modalities, particularly non-viral tools such as lipid nanoparticles, is advantageous. Responsibilities: The selected candidate will develop an independent research program, collaborate with stem cell and gene therapy communities, contribute to teaching, mentoring, and training in UCSF graduate programs, and be active in residency training and education. The appointment is in the School of Medicine with primary appointment in the Department of Surgery and secondary in the Broad Center. Laboratory space will be in the Regeneration Medicine Building. Qualifications: Recognized skills in education of surgery residents and medical students, strong communication, teaching and mentoring strength, and research excellence in genome editing delivery. Salary: Minimum base salary range $121,900 - $319,800. See Table 5. The position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan.
