Compensation: $24-$28 an hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist / Accountant to join a dynamic organization in Las Vegas on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of key financial processes, and contributing to the success of a growing team.

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience , a strong understanding of financial operations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day accounting functions while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to support overall business operations.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
• Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and supporting documentation
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities
• Enter and maintain financial data within the accounting system
• Support general ledger accounting functions as assigned
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience required
• Experience with ERP and accounting software preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must reside in and be able to commute to the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada
