Required:

• 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue operations, including at least 2 years supervising a team.
• Hands-on experience managing high-volume recurring and batch billing.
• Strong working knowledge of field-service or billing software; PestPac experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of improving billing accuracy and reducing credits, adjustments, and unbilled work.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building recurring management reports.
• Experience documenting processes and cross-training staff.
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong communication skills with both internal teams and customers.

Preferred:

• Experience in pest control, home services, or another route-based or field-service business.
• Experience integrating billing for acquired businesses or consolidating multi-branch billing operations.
• Experience implementing billing automation, e-invoicing, autopay programs, or AI-enabled tools.
• Experience managing payment processors and billing-related vendors.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end billing cycle in PestPac, including recurring batch billing, invoice templates, and billing reports.
• Ensure every completed service is invoiced completely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Catch billing errors at the source through upfront controls and exception reporting.
• Monitor completed-but-unbilled services and resolve exceptions on a weekly basis.
• Track credits and adjustments, identify root causes, and review trends with the CFO.
• Maintain clean, accurate customer, service setup, and contract data.
• Lead, coach, and develop a billing team of 3 specialists, plus 2 administrative staff shared with systems administration.
• Recruit and onboard additional billing specialists as the team grows.
• Build an accurate, accountable, cross-trained team so that no critical billing task depends on a single person.
• Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all recurring billing processes.
• Set expectations, give ongoing feedback, and conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Reduce manual billing effort using PestPac's native tools and other automation and AI solutions.
• Drive adoption of electronic invoice delivery and autopay/card-on-file across residential and commercial accounts.
• Develop and deliver a standard monthly billing reporting package covering billing, credits, and un-billed services.
• Centralize billing for all branches and acquired businesses, including billing integration during PestPac conversions.
• Manage relationships with the payment processor and billing, print, e-delivery, and automation vendors.
• Partner closely with the CFO, AR Manager, Systems Administrator (Pestac), Controller, branch managers and service operations, customer service, and sales.
