About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead a comprehensive financial transformation. This is a pivotal role within a mission-driven organization that is at a critical juncture, with a focus on modernizing and rebuilding the finance, operations, and reporting functions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, with full support from the CEO and Board, and will be responsible for stabilizing and elevating the financial operations. Key responsibilities include leading the full financial transformation, stabilizing and rebuilding billing operations, overseeing grants, contracts, and funding compliance, and optimizing ERP systems. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in nonprofit finance, experience in restructuring and turnaround environments, and a background in healthcare billing cycles. The ideal CFO for this role at the company will have a strong background in nonprofit finance leadership, with a specific focus on grants, contracts, and government funding. Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite or similar, is essential, as is a background in restructuring and turnaround environments. The role requires a strategic leader who can prioritize effectively, lead a team through operational stabilization, and is adept at building and structuring teams for optimal performance. The first 12 months will be dedicated to operational stabilization, billing and revenue cycle rebuild, team buildout, and systems and process improvement. The CFO will be instrumental in reducing the month-end close cycle, addressing backlogs, and improving the accuracy and visibility of financial data. This is a long-term opportunity for a leader who is passionate about leaving a lasting operational legacy and is ready to take on the challenge of a true rebuild.
