Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the homes of our patients, allowing you to work in familiar and comfortable environments that foster recovery. The role offers a combination of regular hours from Monday to Friday, with scheduled rotating hospital shifts on weekends. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing physical limitations and establishing personalized treatment plans based on physician referrals.

• Implement treatment programs that utilize a variety of modalities and exercises designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance physical functionality.

• Document all evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.

• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring that care is delivered effectively and safely.

• Regularly assess the outcomes of therapeutic interventions and adjust patient care plans as necessary based on observed progress and patient feedback.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapeutic practitioners to optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. A strong focus will be placed on tailoring interventions to meet the age-specific needs and developmental stages of each patient, fostering their physical and emotional health.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective patient and team interactions.

• Proficiency in documentation and reporting software is preferred, along with basic computer skills for efficient operation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is preferred, with experience in home care being a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The physical therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
