Program/Project Coordinator, SW/CM Department

Overview Plans, coordinates, and participates in the performance of varied and responsible work in the administration, project administration, and operation of specialized programs or projects at Stanford Health Care. What You Will Do Plan, coordinate, and participate in the implementation of activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops, fairs, and related programs. Develop new ideas and concepts for program themes and coordinate program logistics, materials, and resources. Provide administrative assistance to management staff to support program objectives. Lead or train others as needed, and administer activities of assigned programs including developing, implementing, and supervising procedures, processes, and services. Train employees in proper methods and procedures and ensure correctness of work. Advise managers on the status of current activities and recommend solutions to identified problems. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, investigate trends, and recommend modifications to improve outcomes. Coordinate and/or participate in public or agency‑facing activities, including preparation and release of documents, reports, and related materials. Manage access to hospital regulatory and compliance software, implement policy management tools, and participate in committees. Maintain liaison with other programs, offices, and departments across SHC to coordinate business and accomplish objectives. Interface with external organizations such as the Joint Commission and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to enhance cooperative efforts and resources. Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenditures, verify and reconcile funds, and prepare reports and preliminary analyses. Maintain records related to clinical locations, licenses, permits, and prepare reports to requesting agencies. Perform other related duties as assigned or needed. Education Qualifications Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience Qualifications Four (4) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience, focusing on project support, budget preparation, monitoring and reconciliation, and report preparation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of general practices, program, and administrative specialties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and standard office equipment. Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work under diverse demands. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures. Ability to organize and plan work, handle multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialties. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using C‑I‑CARE principles. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the work group. Compensation Base pay generally ranges from $43.77 to $56.90 per hour, depending on experience, education, specialty, and training.
