This contract role will support legacy DCR applications running on SCO Unix environments. This role will be hybrid onsite in Trenton, NJ.What You'll DoSupport and maintain legacy DCR applications operating on SCO Unix platformsProvide administration and support for SCO UnixWare environmentsDevelop, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix shell scripts used in batch processing operationsMonitor and support mission-critical processing systems in production environmentsPerform flat-file processing and manage scheduled batch jobsDebug, analyze, and reverse engineer legacy code with limited or outdated documentationCollaborate with business users, developers, and technical teams to resolve application issues and implement enhancementsEvaluate system modifications and recommend improvements to application functionality and performanceIdentify and implement best practices, standards, and process improvements to ensure high-quality service deliveryCoordinate development and support activities as needed across application teamsCreate and maintain technical documentation relating to application functionality, support procedures, and system changesParticipate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and ongoing production support activitiesWhat You'll NeedRequired:5+ years of overall application development experience3+ years of experience with DCR programming language3+ years of SCO UnixWare administration experience3+ years of Unix Shell Scripting experience3+ years of production support experience for legacy business applicationsExperience supporting legacy DCR applications on SCO UnixExperience with flat-file processing and batch job managementStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholdersPreferred:2+ years of experience with legacy procedural programming languages such as COBOL, RPG, or CExperience debugging and reverse engineering legacy applications with limited documentationExperience with flat-file processing environmentsAdvanced skills in technologies such as SharePoint, SAP, Curam, ServiceNow, HL7, or PEGAExperience supporting large-scale government or enterprise-level business applicationsPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorThe pay range for this position is listed above.
