We are seeking qualified manufacturing engineers to launch our next phase of e-mobility products at our Charleston, SC site.The manufacturing engineer will be a competency leader in gearset assembly processes for electric axles. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to execute technical initiatives, all with a keen understanding of manufacturing principles and operational efficiency.  The responsibilities for this job include the following tasks and functional responsibilities:Process owner for processes involved on the gearset/transmission loop of the e-Axle production lineProduct knowledge of transmission and gear components as well as confirmation processes of their assemblies (measurement, meshing, etc.)Develops best practices for given processes and creates training/documentationSupport and implement lead plant/IPN processes and standardsSupport ongoing production with problem solving, documentation, and trials for process improvementsDerive from customer characteristics required attributes for manufacturing, driving the development of the Process FMEA (PFMEA) and Control PlanCooperation with internal and external partners (process development, quality, suppliers, production, logistics, quality) for process and equipment optimizationsCommunication and participation with lead plants and International Production Networks, Center of Competency and Expert Teams on latest technologies and process improvementsConduct and/or participate in customer-required process assessments and auditsQualificationsBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (or similar field)Be a self-starter and innately curious, with the ability and willingness to dive into and lead development of technical processesHave minimum three years’ experience in automated, industrial manufacturingBe comfortable with cross-functional activities and international teamsBe structured and systematic in their work approach, willing to adapt to dynamic changes and multi-taskingBe willing and able to travel internationallyCommunicate effectively at all levels of the organizationBe adept in systematic problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Shainin, etc.)Project management and ability to lead teamsAdditional InformationCompetitive SalaryCompetitive Time Away from Work PolicyPaid Time Off (PTO): 16 days (Up to 30 days based on seniority)Personal Days (PAA): 5 daysCompany Paid Holidays: 9 daysPaid Parental Leave: 6 WeeksIndustry Best Retirement Benefit401k - 75% match up to the first 9% contributionUnique Bosch Defined Contribution (BDC) plan provides 100% company-funded 401(k) contributions, ranging from 2.5% to 6.5% of your pay, helping you secure your financial futureStudent Debt Retirement Savings MatchProfit Sharing Bonus (CPrP) up to 10%Medical, dental, and vision coverageOnsite Cafeteria with multiple menu optionsOnsite Starbucks CafeOnsite Bosch Store (Employee Discount) Your well-being matters at Bosch!
