As Head of Engineering, you will drive the delivery and growth of our Engineering organization. You will ensure technical excellence and the well‑being of our team while guiding the strategy and technical direction of the Ceramic Network. You will be the first non‑founder on the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, Danny Zuckerman. Success looks like... You collaborate with the executive team to drive strategy, roadmap, and resource planning, hiring, and prioritization. A deep sense of ownership, trust, and collaboration exists within the Engineering team. Individuals receive frequent, effective feedback and mentoring, grow rapidly, and churn is minimal. You're likely a good fit if you have... 6+ years of engineering management experience and 10+ years in technical organizations with significant contributions to high‑impact projects. Proven ability to hire and grow great teams. You can identify, evaluate, and retain exceptional engineers and managers and help them accelerate their growth. Experience in Web3, crypto, databases/data lakes/data streaming, or a development platform known for an outstanding developer experience. A desire to be close to the tech and architecture even if you are not writing code. Exceptional communication and mentorship skills, able to articulate complex technical problems, rally the team around a shared vision, and excel in a remote‑first workflow. Ability to lead teams in a fast‑changing, high‑growth environment. You thrive with uncertainty, bring order to chaos, and design systems for empowerment rather than control. Deep interest in Web3, large‑scale data systems, data sovereignty, and improving the way the web works.
