Training Specialist

The Training Specialist reports to the VP of Stores and plays a pivotal role in empowering store associates through training and development. The primary responsibility is to design, deliver, and evaluate high‑impact sales training programs that enhance selling skills and product expertise across all Robbins Brothers showrooms. The role includes end‑to‑end instructional design, partnering with vendors, and ensuring alignment with brand standards. Core Responsibilities Content Design : Collaborate with key stakeholders and managers to evaluate current training materials, identify skill gaps, and create new, high‑impact content. Facilitation & Training : Deliver engaging content at training sessions and special events, and facilitate workshops for store associates. Store Prioritization : Identify skill gaps at the individual store level to prioritize training resources. Sales Coaching : Partner with the VP of Stores to conduct recurring coaching calls for general managers and sales associates. Strategic Alignment : Maintain regular reviews with the VP of Stores, Manager of Store Support & Corporate Communications, and general managers to sync training initiatives with organizational goals. Collaborative Influence : Work cross‑functionally with headquarters, vendor partners, and internal teams to share content and promote shared expertise. Efficacy Measurement : Develop metrics to assess training effectiveness and quantify impact on business objectives. External Partnerships : Coordinate with design partners to deliver high‑impact training sessions and events, both in‑person and virtually. Launch Support : Provide comprehensive education on new collection launches and support field activation initiatives. Qualifications Experience : Minimum 4 years in instructional design and training delivery, preferably in a retail environment. Education : 4‑year undergraduate degree preferred. Communication : Exceptional facilitation, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail. Technical Skills : Proficient in Learning Management Systems, advanced Microsoft Office, and expert‑level PowerPoint. Agility : Excellent time‑management and ability to work with all leadership levels and diverse personnel. Professionalism : High professional maturity and emotional intelligence, with discretion in handling sensitive information. Mindset : Collaborative, proactive, team‑oriented, problem‑solving, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
