Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum

Location: West Hollywood, CA 90048
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week | Weekends Required
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:
Local: $55–$61/hr
Traveler: $55–$61/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license at time of submission — Required
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based postpartum RN experience — Required
• BLS certification — Required
• NRP certification — Required
• EPIC experience — Required
• Flu vaccination — Required; no exemptions accepted
• Level I Nursery experience — Preferred
• Ability to work weekends and 3 of 5 holidays
• Ability to float within scope of practice
• No pending license accepted

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby/couplet-care patients
• Assess and monitor postpartum mothers and newborns
• Identify changes in maternal or newborn condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Provide safe and compassionate postpartum and newborn care
• Support couplet care, including maternal and newborn assessments
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, medications, and discharge
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, lactation staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow infection prevention, patient-safety, hospital, and regulatory standards
• Float to appropriate units within scope of practice as required
