Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a lower acuity ICU setting treating general ICU, stroke (TNK), medical, surgical, behavioral health, overdose, post cardiac arrest, and ventilator patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 on both days and nights, acuity based
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call schedule varies based on unit needs
• Holiday expectations vary based on unit needs
• 2-3 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: reading and interpreting strips, ventilator management, chest tubes, tracheostomies, line management, proning experience, bedside and nursing station telemonitoring
• No tele tech in the ICU - nurse responsible for telemonitoring
• Must be comfortable floating to the Cardiac unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment: Alaris and Pyxis
• Scrub color: Any professional scrubs
• One shift orientation to learn unit flow
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved

Facility:

This 101-bed medical center operates as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, offering comprehensive inpatient services across multiple specialties. The ICU unit consists of 11 beds and is supported by CNAs, respiratory therapy available 24/7, hospitalist coverage 24/7, an intensivist on-site from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with eICU coverage overnight, and an ICU educator. Additional support services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and phlebotomy available for peripheral blood draws.
