Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Community Outreach Mental Care, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the lives of your clients. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans to address pre-crisis and crisis situations.

• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools to guide treatment, ensuring that you are delivering the best possible care.

• Documenting all clinical records accurately and promptly, in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborating closely with other team members to create and implement positive behavioral support strategies.

• Participating actively in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the quality of our services.

• Acting as a liaison with community partners and state agencies to enhance service delivery and support for your clients.

• Fostering open communication channels to meet contract standards and promote our mission within the community.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through conferences, training, and other educational opportunities.

• Advocating for agency mission, values, and philosophy while promoting programs and securing new partnerships and funding sources.

• Completing any additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including those seeking support for substance use issues, developmental disabilities, and acquired brain injuries. Your approach will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, focusing on holistic and individualized care to promote wellness and recovery.

Qualifications\n

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for this position:

• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field.

• Active Independent LMHC License issued by the state board of New York.
\n
• Proficient in maintaining clinical records and preparing necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.

• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and provide guidance.

Preferred Experience\n
