Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments to identify client needs and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) to diagnose mental health disorders and establish appropriate clinical interventions.

• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family counseling, ensuring cultural and interpersonal sensitivity in all interactions.

• Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive support.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on enhancing the relational dynamics among patients and their networks.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, utilizing digital software for efficient data management and tracking.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Water Edge, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing various mental health challenges and promoting wellness across the lifespan. Your expertise will be essential in providing targeted interventions for clients facing high-risk behaviors and supporting personal growth through evidenced-based practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• Experience working with individuals across the lifespan, with an emphasis on therapeutic best practices.

• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and provide services that meet diverse client needs.

• Proficiency in technology, specifically in utilizing software for Telehealth sessions and keeping detailed clinical records.

Preferred Experience\n

• 0-3 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling preferred but not mandatory, as we value emerging talent.

Compensation and Benefits\n
