Hydrotest Technician

Responsibilities Perform required service and maintenance on fire extinguishers, including recharging, testing and completing six- and twelve-year maintenance work. Accurately complete required reports and paperwork, inspection tags, and other records for extinguisher service and maintenance. Perform routine/preventative maintenance on extinguisher shop test equipment. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while at work. Complete required employment paperwork in a timely and professional manner, e.g., timecard. Participate in periodic Johnson Controls business meetings and contribute to the growth and sustainability of Johnson Controls. Operate hand tools and lift/carry 50 lbs, perform repetitive motions including lifting, sliding and general production of fire extinguishers. Use all minimum PPE required by Johnson Controls and specialized PPE as required for specific working situations. Maintain the organization, operation, and cleanliness of the area of work. Qualifications One year of experience with high‑pressure hydrotesting systems and procedures. Ability to operate hand tools and lift and carry 50 lbs. Ability to pass required licensing test (on job training provided). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and BMV check. High school diploma or equivalent. Clean driving record and driver's license (required). Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $20 – $26, depending on education, experience, skills, equity and market data.
