Registered Nurse Psychiatric Pediatric

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in a behavioral health setting. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients mental health status and gather relevant clinical information.
  
  
• 
  Develop, implement, and document patient-centered care plans based on psychiatric needs.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and monitor responses, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the treatment team to establish therapeutic goals and interventions.
  
  
• 
  Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed to ensure patient and staff safety.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license within the State of Massachusetts.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least three years of inpatient psychiatric experience with adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
  
  
• 
  CPR certification required; crisis intervention or restraint reduction experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong critical thinking, crisis management, and effective communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in computer skills relevant to electronic medical records and documentation.
