Field Service Engineer I - Kansas City, MO

Field Service Engineer position at SCIEX supporting mass spectrometry and analytical instrumentation across the Kansas City region. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment with independent troubleshooting and mentoring of junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair mass spectrometers, HPLC, and capillary electrophoresis instruments at customer sites
- Perform qualifications services and provide customer training
- Resolve technical issues independently and mentor less experienced field staff
- Complete administrative tasks including service logging, expense reporting, and inventory management
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent technical certification
- LCMS and/or capillary electrophoresis experience with mass spectrometry or scientific instrumentation
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel up to 50% overnight, domestic and international
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and perform field work activities
- Meet vendor credentialing requirements
Compensation: $36.50–$38.75 hourly, plus bonus/incentive pay eligibility
