Join Our Team as a Working Head Chef at Bum Rogers!

Are you passionate about creating delicious culinary masterpieces and leading a team of talented chefs? Bum Rogers is looking for a skilled Working Head Chef to join our team at our Seaside Park, NJ location. As a unique, specialty house restaurant with a communal, spirit-lifting atmosphere, Bum Rogers has been a favorite among locals and visitors alike for over five decades. With three locations all within a two block radius, including Bum Rogers Crabhouse, Berkeley Cut Steakhouse, and Island Beach Fish Company, we are dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Menu planning and development to ensure a diverse and enticing selection
• Overseeing food quality and ensuring consistency in all dishes
• Managing food costs and implementing strategies to maximize profitability
• Leading the back of house team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Managing labor costs and scheduling to optimize efficiency

Required Skills:

• Strong culinary management skills with a focus on kitchen management
• Experience in menu development and food preparation
• Knowledge of front of house operations and banquet catering
• Understanding of food service management and fine dining standards
• Certification in ServSafe and a commitment to food safety and sanitation

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in catering and event planning
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and food and beverage management

Salary and Benefits:

Minimum Salary: $60,000.00

Maximum Salary: $72,000.00
