Position Summary The Manager of Research Cores and Services will oversee research cores and programs, including but not limited to the Scientific Writing and Biostatistics cores, and provide oversight and coordination on large scale multilateral institutional projects. The Manager will oversee the workflow of core staff, ensuring timely and efficient support for research projects and proposals. The Manager will collaborate with other unit leaders to ensure seamless integration of support at each step in the research process. Additionally, the Manager will work to strategize methods to increase engagement with providers and increase accessibility to research resources and services. Position Duties Lead a team of scientific writers in the development of grant proposals and research manuscripts. Oversee research core service operations, including metrics analysis, productivity, and customer service orientation; maintain systems of records, track metrics and outcomes, and produce related reports; ensure research compliance. Provide project coordination and management on interdivisional institutional research projects. Lead and participate in institutional research committees, including the Scientific Research Committee, etc. Maintain documentation of proposals, track metrics and outcomes, and produce related reports. Lead research resource development initiatives, including dashboard development and improvements, website and communications, and identification of research opportunities. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested. Position Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree (Required) Master's degree in Health, Education, Business, or related field (Preferred) Experience 5 years of experience sourcing and writing grant proposals for NIH funding and non‑U.S. Government funding sources (Required) Strong biomedical writing experience or writing experience within Public Health industry (Preferred) Special Skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (Required) Excellent verbal communication and research skills (Preferred) Knowledge of SPSS or SAS business analytics software programs (Preferred) Physical Requirements & Occupational Exposure/Risk Potential Feeling (sensing textures and temperatures) — Occasionally Fine Motor Skills (pinching, gripping, etc.) — Frequently Hearing — Constantly Pushing/pulling — Occasionally Reaching — Occasionally Sitting — Constantly Standing — Occasionally Stooping/crouching/kneeling/crawling — Occasionally Talking — Constantly Walking — Occasionally Near Vision — Frequently Far Vision — Occasionally Use of keyboard, mouse and/or computer equipment — Constantly Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance — Occasionally Occupational exposure/risk potential: inside office environment (Applicable) #J-18808-Ljbffr Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc.
