License Requirement Candidates must possess an active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in good standing. Prior specialized orthodontic assisting experience is highly preferred, but we welcome skilled RDAs eager to master the art of orthodontics! Qualifications & Key Search Terms Credentials: Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (required). Experience: 2+ years of dental assisting experience. Prior clinical experience in a fast‑paced orthodontic bay is a massive competitive advantage. Technical Software Skills: Familiarity with modern dental practice management software, digital charting, and digital radiography systems (experience with Cloud 9, Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft is a major plus). Soft Skills: Top‑notch communication and interpersonal skills, gentle bedside manner that makes patients feel safe and at home, sharp attention to clinical detail, and a naturally positive, team‑first attitude. Safety & Compliance: Successful pre‑employment drug screening and background check required. Must exceed all CDC, OSHA, and ADA guidelines. Responsibilities Orthodontic Chairside Assisting: Provide high‑quality clinical support and RDA‑level care during routine wire adjustments, bondings, appliance deliveries, and debonding appointments. Digital Diagnostics: Take accurate orthodontic diagnostic records, including high‑resolution digital intraoral photographs, X‑rays, and computer‑guided digital impressions/scans.
