Purpose of Position: Responsible for management of ongoing accounting operations including recordkeeping, financial reporting and staffing. Directs and administers the operations of the accounting department, including, but not limited to general ledger, financial reporting, government reporting, budgeting, settlement, reconciliation, financial analysis, plastic card programs, etc. Responsible for compliance with GAAP, NCUA rules and regulations. In coordination with the CFO, assists with ALM, investments and financial strategies. Recommends policies and procedures that relate to accounting, finance and reporting and is responsible for the supervision, training, and support of accounting team.

Minimum Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required .

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is required .
• Financial institution or credit union experience preferred.
• Must have strong leadership, supervisory and analytical skills.
• Three to five years previous management experience required.

Other Requirements:

• Must be bondable.
• Must be accurate, consistent, dependable and reliable.
• Excellent project management, innovation, problem solving, communication, analytical and organization skills preferred. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft products including, but not limited to, MS Excel, Windows XP, and the internet.
