Senior Product Developer - Women's Active/Specialized - Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Position Overview We have an opportunity for Senior Product Developer at Nordstrom Product Group (NPG). As a Senior Product Developer you will drive the development of our activewear – Nordstrom‑owned private label products, mentor other developers, and partner with Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, and external suppliers to create seasonal assortments. Responsibilities Develop products with increased style count that meet cost standards and review prototypes for quality, brand aesthetic, and design intent. Meet product development milestones and calendar due dates with pre‑production tracking and reporting (prototype, color, sample yardage, testing, etc.). Lead negotiations with vendors through product lifecycle (costing, timing, action, minimums, etc.). Lead and mentor other product developers within the brand team through development process, calendar milestones, sourcing strategy, and adoption reporting. Place developed and adopted styles in accordance with the sourcing strategy and provide ongoing recommendations to support evolution. Provide costing roll‑ups for brand or classification at final cost. Identify potential raw‑material or sourcing opportunities for efficiency and speed. Identify root causes and process improvement opportunities. Analyze and leverage company reports to review business, category needs, and trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). Minimum seven years’ experience in product development, design, or production in garment manufacturing (three of these years preferably in activewear brands). Knowledge of raw materials and garment construction specific to activewear product categories. Experience working and communicating with domestic and international manufacturers. Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills working with multiple leadership levels. Ability to provide leadership, supervision, and direction to peers through the development process. Ability to demonstrate capabilities through a costing exercise. Proficiency in Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with a Product Lifecycle Management system (preferred). Pay Range Annual: $93,500.00 – $155,000.00 Benefits Medical, vision, and dental coverage. Retirement plan and paid time away.
