This contract position is conveniently offered onsite, with options for both full-time and part-time scheduling to suit your needs. Work alongside dedicated education professionals in a vibrant setting near Joliet, IL, empowering students to reach their communication goals.
Your day will be structured around regular staff hours from 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM, providing consistency and work-life balance. Begin with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, with the potential to grow to a maximum of 60 for full-time placements. This is an excellent opportunity to build connections, collaborate with school teams, and help shape the future of your students’ educational journey.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois required
- Please submit a screenshot verifying your active IL license and PEL with your application
- At least one year of school-based SLP experience preferred
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- SLPAs and CFs cannot be considered for this position
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to high school students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, parents, and administrators
- Document progress and maintain accurate records to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations that support academic and personal growth
