Family Prime Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Surgical Center located in the vibrant city of New York, New York. Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our Surgical Center, operating during standard hours of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. You will regularly interact with patients, families, and a diverse healthcare team, all committed to enhancing patient experiences and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to assess health needs effectively.
• Order and interpret essential diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions and devise appropriate treatment plans based on established best practices.
• Prescribe medications and manage medication regimens for a variety of health issues, ensuring safe and effective therapies.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and schedules to optimize the flow of patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to improve health literacy.
• Provide ongoing oversight of patient health and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Promote wellness through proactive health practices and community education initiatives.
• Engage in research and professional development activities to advance clinical knowledge and contribute to the medical community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve an adult patient population in our Surgical Center, with a diverse range of health concerns. We focus on comprehensive care, addressing not just immediate health issues but also the long-term well-being of our patients. Your ability to educate and empower patients will be crucial in fostering their engagement in health management.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of applicable clinical experience, ideally in primary care or urgent care settings.
• A valid California State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification.
• DEA number required for prescription responsibilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and team members.
• Team-oriented ethos with a collaborative approach to patient care.
• A commitment to continued learning and professional growth in the healthcare field.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, or emergency medicine may enhance your candidacy.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
