Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patients' medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnose and manage a range of health conditions and illnesses within the scope of family medicine, delivering individualized patient care.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications and closely monitor patient responses to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive measures, and ongoing treatment strategies.
• Promote wellness and preventive care by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and routine health screenings.
• Participate in daily rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.
• Stay abreast of evolving medical practices and advancements in primary care through continual education and training.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years working as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and policies relevant to patient care delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions and teamwork.

• Must possess a DEA number to prescribe medications.

Compensation and Benefits
