Salary: $30-$45/hour Payroll Specialist - Why This Opportunity Stands Out Stable, long-standing organization with exceptional employee tenure Direct training from a retiring payroll professional for a smooth transition True ownership of payroll for ~300 employees Hybrid schedule after training with strong flexibility Consistent 40-hour workweeks with minimal overtime Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Payroll Specialist - Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for approximately 280 employees Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours, deductions, taxes, and bonuses Handle off-cycle payrolls, garnishments, adjustments, and reimbursements Support payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end processes Maintain payroll records, accruals, and ensure compliance with regulations Assist with onboarding and provide support on select HR-related activities Partner with the Controller on reporting and process improvements Payroll Specialist - Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, compliance, and multi-state payroll Experience with garnishments and ability to work independently Strong Excel skills; Paylocity or Deltek experience is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
