Test Technician (Hardware Development)
Location: Long Beach, CA (On-site)
Pay: $25–$28/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt
Shifts: 1st (6:00am–2:30pm) or 2nd (2:00pm–10:30pm)
- Fabricate, clean, and activate ground support equipment and test articles (pressurized ground systems)
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify manufacturing/testing equipment including:
- Pressurized systems (vacuum to 20,000 psig ), pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Oxygen and refrigerant systems
- Data, automation, and control systems
- Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns
- Maintain lab/workshop (cleanliness, consumables, tool control)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing, test, operations, HVAC, or similar hands-on technical role
- High school diploma/GED
- Aerospace / high-reliability manufacturing experience (power & gas, military, etc.)
- High-pressure equipment build/maintenance/troubleshooting experience
- Automation & controls (DAQ, PLCs, etc.)
- Cleanroom and precision cleaning/assembly experience
- Hazardous systems experience (cryogenic/flammable/pyrophoric/hypergolic/high voltage)
- Forklift/crane/aerial platform experience
- JIRA/Confluence familiarity
- Familiarity with aerospace test standards (e.g., SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810G, GSFC-STD-7000B)
