Labor & Employment AssociateLocation: Los Angeles (90067)Type: Hybrid; In-office 3 days/weekOverview: An AM 100 firm with 1,000 Attorneys coast to coast is actively seeking an attorney to join its L&E Practice in Los Angeles.QualificationsThe ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctorate (JD) and will be licensed to practice law in the State of California and 5-7 years of relevant L&E experienceExperience in defending against single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation.Experience with PAGA matters.Experience with class actions.Ability to handle day-to-day case responsibilities with moderate independence and in collaboration with senior attorneys.Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.Experience drafting and arguing motions including dispositive and discovery motions.Experience conducting and defending depositions, including plaintiff depositions and corporate witness depositions.Experience providing employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations is preferred but not required.The firm offers competitive compensation and a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings program, family building benefits, 529 college savings plan and more.Compensation: $245,000 to $270,000 DOE.
