Fund Accountant

A leading alternative asset manager is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is critical in supporting the month-end and quarter-end close process and ensuring accurate financial reporting for private investment funds. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial tie-outs Prepare and post daily journal entries while maintaining accurate internal shadow books Perform daily cash reconciliations between internal records and third-party fund administrators Track and maintain fund expense schedules to ensure accurate allocation and reporting Assist with capital calls and distributions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance Support the investment valuation process in coordination with internal teams and external service providers Respond to investor data requests in a timely and accurate manner Serve as a primary liaison to the fund administrator to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations Prepare schedules and documentation to support the annual audit process This is a full-time, in-office position requiring five days per week onsite presence.
