Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, managing a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics. The role involves triage, treatment, discharge planning, and emergency response to critical situations.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conduct thorough triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on clinical signs and symptoms.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and intravenous therapies following best practices and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Recognize and respond promptly to cardiac, respiratory, and other medical emergencies with appropriate interventions.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on medication side effects, discharge instructions, and emergency procedures.
  
  
• 
  Participate in trauma and code response activations, providing skilled critical care support.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in the practicing state.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of two years recent emergency nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in ECG interpretation, emergency protocol management, and critical care procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and follow facility policies and chain of command.
