Materials Planner

Overview Location: Las Vegas. Alexander Dennis is a global leader in the design and manufacture of double-deck and lightweight buses. We are leading the transition to zero-emission mobility, with 3,000 zero-emission buses sold to date. Position Material Planner - North America. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Material Planner to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will plan and execute production purchase order requirements, validate supplier delivery commitments, and ensure the completeness of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to Purchase Orders (PO). This role involves managing material shortages, handling discrepancies, and expediting supplies to meet production needs. Be part of our Las Vegas team, supporting Southern Nevada's transportation and manufacturing industry by producing double-deck buses for customers across North America. As the only facility of its kind in North America, our site is a hub for cutting-edge transit solutions. What you will do Plan and manage all production purchase order requirements for North American supply Validate and ensure supplier delivery commitments align with PO and production needs Expedite material shortages and coordinate with suppliers across sites Enter and send purchase orders through Syspro, ensuring accuracy and completeness Provide pricing and quoting support Maintain records by scanning and filing all packing lists and invoices Reconcile invoice queries and ensure all MODs are properly priced and documented Address discrepancies by raising DDRs and reconciling L&Ds What you need to be successful College degree or diploma in Administration, Supply Chain, or Business preferred Minimum 2-5 years of experience in materials planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a purchasing context Preferred experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing environments Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to work independently Team player with excellent analytical skills and deadline-oriented mindset Why join our team Generous salary package - we reward our people at the level they deserve A 40-hour working week, with flexible working options, giving you work/life balance Ongoing employee development through in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions Annual leave entitlement which increases with tenure 401(k) plan with company match to help you save for the future Our why: We exist to move people.
