Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience License: Valid state compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Comfortable with the NIH scale - Proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients - Willing to learn about neurology Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in telemetry. The nurse will work in a heavy neuro unit. Client experience is not required, but candidates should be willing to learn. The nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends are required on an every other weekend basis. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:5. The ideal candidate will possess skills in managing BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and post-surgical care. Experience with procedural sedation, telemetry, and spinal cord injuries is also beneficial. Previous charge experience and familiarity with the Epic charting system are preferred. The unit is designated for stroke care and is a center of excellence for spine conditions.
